Our specialised procedures

We’re one of the few Auckland clinics to provide specialised procedures such as:

  • PACT Fungal Light therapy – for better-looking toenails. Your podiatrist uses light therapy to kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi on both your skin and nail surfaces.
  • To rid yourself of stubborn verruca’s that aren’t responding to conservative treatment, you can access our Verruca Needling procedure.
  • Keryflex Nail Restoration – a one-time resin application to your damaged toenails, restoring the cosmetic appearance to look and feel natural again.

Free your nails from fungal infections with light therapy

A gentle treatment, PACT nail therapy (which stands for photodynamic antimicrobial therapy) uses light therapy to effectively kill bacteria, viruses and fungi from your skin and nail surfaces.

This therapy needs a minimum of five treatments, one week apart, to allow the infection to be eliminated as the nail grows.

First our trained podiatrists use sterile equipment to prep the nail to make the treatment more successful. Then we apply a photosensitive gel on your infected nail, which we expose to light of a specific wavelength to produce an energy transfer and chemical effect, destroying the microorganism cell walls.

The procedure is painless, and targets only the infection, so your healthy tissues are not damaged.

Is your verruca bothering you?

We can help you get rid of them.

We first try a conservative approach, where we thoroughly clean your verruca and then apply alicylic acid or silver nitrate to eliminate it.

If you’ve got a stubborn or severe case, verruca needling is your next option. This involves a minor surgery performed under local anaesthetic. We will numb your foot, clean your verruca, and cut it away, before needling the wound to stimulate your immune system.

Come in for an initial consultation to see which option is right for your verruca.
