What to expect

Here’s how a typical first appointment goes

First, we analyse the pain you are presenting with, before talking you through each step of the initial assessment.

Using this information, and other questions related to your injury, your podiatrist will complete the appropriate treatment and discuss any follow up steps you may need to complete.

Lasting for roughly 20-40 minutes, this first appointment allows us to determine the most appropriate treatment for your feet and lower limb injuries, and to talk you through your options of future treatment.

While we assess, we like to share as much knowledge as possible to keep your feet fit and healthy in between appointments. You’ll leave equipped and empowered to care for your feet – to the best of your abilities – until we see you again.

Consultation fees

Pricing

Treatments vary depending on your podiatry needs, and your individual situation such as if it is ACC funded.

For a guide, your initial consult ranges between $100 and $135, or $65 if it’s ACC funded.

Your podiatrist will give you an indication of the cost of more complex or specialised treatments at your initial visit.

We have a range of payment options, including Eftpos/cash, Credit Card, and Southern Cross.

For more information on pricing, please contact us.

Cancellation

We know things come up at times, so we won’t charge a cancellation fee if you give us at least 12 hours’ notice before your booked appointment.

If our podiatrist receives less than 12 hours’ notice of a cancellation, a $75 fee may apply.

What do I need to do before my appointment?

If you are coming in for:

  • General footcare: don’t feel obligated to soak your feet – but feel free to if you want – we don’t judge either way.
  • Nail Care or PACT Fungal Nail: please remove any nail polish so the podiatrist can see your nails.
  • Sports podiatry or orthotics: please bring the shoes you wear most often. These might include work shoes, children’s school shoes or sports shoes.
  • A referral from another practitioner e.g. Physiotherapist, GP, or specialist, please bring your referral with you.

What happens after my appointment?

Your podiatrist will explain the next steps to you and follow-up appointments can be made in the clinic straight after your initial appointment, or you can contact us yourself when you are ready.

In some cases, we might need to wait for results, orthotics, or funding, so we will contact you. Please check with our team before you leave to ensure your contact details are correct.
